In thinking about this, I want to address questions and problems too. People find jesus attractive. But the ‘resurrection’ happened a long long time ago – a remarkable event, someone coming back from the dead, but for two thousand years since, history has rolled on, the long mundane march of reality has continued… what I need to connect with is how the power at work in the resurrection is at work, can be at work, today, in my life, in people’s lives. The shift from ‘not seeing’ to recognition can be subtle, swift and seamless; her name spoken by ‘the gardener’ transformed mary’s outlook from gloom to joy in an instant; the disciples on the road to Emmaus suddenly recognised the stranger’s identity when he broke bread. Like the sudden wave-like ‘small stimulus to big effect’ phenomena in chaos theory mentioned below....

Your problem seems to be that you assume people will accept the ressurection happened - why should they? It's not like walking crucified corpses are ten a penny. I have no need of this power you talk about, because it is not there - that would not be your problem if god existed, it would be his problem.

Resurrection myths are ten a penny though - why dont yo believe in the resurrections of Mithras, Thulis, Ianna, Attis, Krishna, Tammuz, Hesus, Baal, Odin, Horus....................................................................
Think about it, why don't you believe these were resurrected? What would make you believe?
When you see why you don't believe, you will see why people see your god as no different to these (and using the bible is circular reasoning - why wouldn't you accept a Norse Saga about Odin then?

hi billy, believing in jesus doesn't mean i don't have questions and sometimes doubts as i've said, but i find a position of tentative faith and exploration a more acceptable 'initial platform' than unbelief. and as a starter, i think the portrayal of jesus is more vivid and compelling than these other folk, tho i'd admit to not knowing a lot about them.
in response to ur earlier comment, i'm finding it helpful to try and write something each day or as often as i can, even if only for 10 min.

I wasn't sayiing that you don't question - I was saying this is why people wont believe.

If your plan is to get people to believe, then it can only fail. To assume some faith means that you are preaching to the converted - so, what's your aim?

If you think Jesus's resurrection is more compelling without knowing the other myths, I doubt you have looked into why you believe too deeply though. It seems that you believe because you just do - justification does not seem to be important. It is a serious question though - why is Jesus more compelling? What evidence that is not faith based can you draw upon?
